Winter Training Rides 2009/10

As with last year for the first part of the winter (through to end of January), we have set some shorter and less hilly rides of circa 55-65 miles. These rides will provide a gentle introduction to the winter season than previous years. We hope by setting this easier programme we can again entice you all to start the ride as one group (9am from the Ice Cream hut). The intention is these rides are no more than steady/brisk club-run pace.

The February and March rides then increase in distance and terrain, culminating in the epic Severn bridge ride.

As in previous years the rides up to late January will INCLUDE a cafe stop. After late January there will be NO cafe stop, so you must bring sufficient food and drink to complete the ride. For the sake of everyone on theride ensure you have a good set of tyres to minimise the chance of puncturing.

Mudguards are imperative, so please show consideration for others in the group!

Please see the attached schedule for routes and distances, for those on the Yahoo email groups a reminder with a link to the route (on Bikely) will be sent out on the Friday prior to the ride
