Mountain Biking

We recommend the Saturday rides if you are coming out with us for the first time. You must wear a helmet and we recommend gloves too. We also ask that your bike is suitable for off road riding and is adequately maintained and that you are suitably attired for the weather conditions. You should also bring adequate food, water and tools. Rides are approximately 3 hours in length and do involve cycling out of Cheltenham up on to the Cotswold escarpment at the start of the ride.

We respect one another, other off road users and the environment, we do not leave people behind and we wait if someone has a “technical”. We will help out if possible.

We also have other rides in addition to Saturdays, including a regular Forest of Dean ride.

In addition to the regular rides, the mtb section has an active social scene and also has weekend trips.

In addition to the main cccc e-group, club members can also enjoy the benefits of the cccc mtb e-group. This group includes news of all club mtb rides and activities, weekend trips and frequent social events, as well as offering a forum for advice and for listing items for sale.
